Panchachuli Glacier Trek

Panchachuli Glacier trek  Situated 4260.MTS  is a unique trek in the Darma valley of Pitthoragarh district near the borders of Tibet and Nepal in Uttarakhand. Which literally means the ‘five-pointed oven’. According to the locals, it was the Panchachuli peaks where the Pandavas  cooked their last meal on the five peaks of Panch Chuli Means five peaks  before leaving for heaven. The trek to Base Camp turned out to be a pretty Moderate .The road has already connected the town of Nangling. Next is Baling and then Dhuktu. From Dhuktu Panchachuli Base Camp is an easy 1-hour walk.  This One Is the giant snow-capped Himalayan peaks lying at the end of the eastern Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The trekking trail passes through Dharchula, Nagling , Son traverses through enthralling scenery with snow-capped mountains gushing streams, alpine meadows and rich flora and fauna.

Things to Carry –

  • Warm clothes: windproof jackets, fleece/full sleeve sweater, thermals, woolen cap and socks, mittens and scarf
  • Comfortable clothes: tee-shirts, trousers or tracks
  • Raincoat or poncho to avoid rains
  • Walking stick or trekking pole
  • Comfortable trekking or hiking shoes
  • Water bottles
  • Sunscreen lotion, lip balms, skin ointment and basic medications (or prescribed if any)
  • Torchlight or flashlights with extra number of cells and bulbs
  • Personal toiletries and towels
